Viviana González Méndez is a Colombian artist, bachelor’s degree in visual arts Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia), Master in Aesthetics and Theory of Arts at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (La Plata, Argentina) and MFA at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Bogotá, Colombia). Is currently a PhD candidate PhD- cooperation Department of Art and Media-University of the Arts Linz, Austria (Zürich group) As an artist she has had several individual and collective exhibitions in Colombia, Bolivia, United States, Germany and Switzerland. Her work explores inhabited spaces, the relationships between territory and language and experimental cartographies. Her work has focused on media such as installation, photography, drawing and sound. She has worked in research and teaching at university level in Bogotá and is currently an independent artist. Lives and works between Baden, Switzerland and Bogotá, Colombia
